How do I mask/hide my customer details in MioSalon?

Data masking:

In MioSalon, Data Masking is a feature that allows you to hide sensitive customer data, such as phone numbers and email addresses, from non-admin staff members. Additionally, MioSalon offers the flexibility to grant access to selected staff members, allowing businesses to maintain control over who can view sensitive customer information. 


How to enable or disable customer phone number and email address masking in MioSalon?


To enable the masking feature:


  1. Go to “Settings” in the main navigation bar on the left-hand side. 

  2. Scroll down to “Business Settings”.  Click on “security” 

  3. In security, click on  “Masking Customer Contacts” 

  4. Enable the option "Mask customer phone numbers and email addresses for  all staff.


 By enabling this, the customer contact details remain hidden.



How to grant access to specific staff to view the contact information of a 

customer?


The data visibility granting provides access to specific staff members or managers to view customer data. This process helps maintain data privacy and security while enabling authorized staff members to effectively carry out their responsibilities. To grant data visibility to specific staff members, follow these steps:



  1. To access the "Data Visibility Override Control for Staff", go to "Masking Customer Contact" in the “Security” section.

  2. In this section, you will see a list of staff members with login access. 

Note: Make sure to provide login access to the staff members before they appear in this list.

  1. Select the staff members who should have access to customer details.

  2. Click the "Save" button to apply the changes.


To disable the masking feature:

If you want to grant access to staff members in the salon to view customer details, you can choose to disable this feature.


  1. Go to “Settings” in the main navigation bar on the left-hand side. 

  2. Scroll down to “Business Settings”.  Click on “Security” 

  3.  In security, click on  “Masking Customer Contacts” 

  4. Disable the option "Mask customer phone numbers and email addresses for  all staff."


Now, your managers and staff will have the authority to view both general information and customer contact details.


Note:

This feature is specifically available for users subscribed to the premium plan.

 

  • For new users using MioSalon under the premium plan, the masking feature is enabled by default.

  • For existing users, the feature is initially disabled but can be enabled, if it is needed.

  •  It's important to note that this feature is not applicable if you switch from the premium plan to the lite, lite plus or standard plans.
