How to set the display of hours in the appointment calendar?

Modified on Tue, 10 Feb at 4:38 PM

Overview

MioSalon allows you to control how time is displayed in your appointment calendar so your team can view and manage bookings more clearly. You can choose between a 12-hour (AM/PM) format or a 24-hour (military) format based on your operational preference.

This setting helps standardize how appointment times appear across the calendar for all users in your account.

Purpose

The 24-hour calendar display setting is designed to:

  • Reduce confusion between AM and PM slots

  • Improve scheduling accuracy for long business hours

  • Align the calendar view with your regional or operational standards

Once enabled, the selected format is reflected consistently across the appointment calendar.

Where to Configure This Setting

You can manage the calendar time display from the Appointment module settings.

Navigation path:

Settings → Modules Settings → Appointments

Scroll down to locate the calendar-related display options.

Guided Steps: Set the Hour Display Format

  1. Log in to your MioSalon account.

  2. Click Settings from the left-side menu.

  3. Under Modules Settings, select Appointments.

  4. Scroll to the section with calendar display options.

  5. Locate the toggle “24-hour calendar display format.”

  6. Turn the toggle ON to use the 24-hour format
(Example: 16:00 instead of 4:00 PM).

  7. Keep the toggle OFF to continue using the 12-hour (AM/PM) format.

  8. Save the changes.

✅ The appointment calendar immediately updates to reflect the selected time format.

How This Appears in the Calendar

  • When 24-hour format is enabled, time slots appear as:

    • 13:00, 14:30, 17:45, etc.

  • When disabled, time slots appear as:

    • 1:00 PM, 2:30 PM, 5:45 PM, etc.

This applies across Day, Week, Calendar, and List views of the appointment module.

Benefits

  • Improved clarity: Avoids AM/PM misinterpretation during busy hours

  • Operational consistency: Aligns with regional or internal time standards

  • Faster scheduling: Staff can scan time slots more efficiently

  • Error reduction: Helps prevent accidental double bookings or timing mistakes

Common Use Cases

  • Salons and clinics operating early mornings and late evenings

  • Businesses following 24-hour operational standards

  • Multi-location teams needing a uniform calendar format

  • Front-desk teams managing high appointment volumes
